Kinder Kindling is thrilled to announce its partnership with St Nicholas Church School in Henstridge, aiming to foster sustainability education among young students. As part of this collaboration, Kinder Kindling has donated several bags of its eco-friendly kindling to the school’s Eco Council.
Headteacher Mrs Alison Shearer expressed her enthusiasm: “We are delighted to develop our school’s Eco Council work by using a local business called Kinder Kindling. The children have been very excited to hear how our forest school kindling has been produced, and they are very much looking forward to Kinder Kindling coming to school to tell us more about sustainability.”
Pupil Engagement
The kindling donation has already ignited excitement among the students, with Year 2 pupils enjoying their new fire pit, constructed from recycled bricks. One pupil exclaimed, “This is heaven!” Mrs Shearer highlighted the significance of outdoor learning in addressing global issues, promoting social interaction, and teaching life skills. “Some of the best learning can be done in the great outdoors,” she noted.
Sustainability Focused from a Young Age
Neil Lemon, owner of Kinder Kindling, is set to visit the school soon to discuss sustainability practices, further enriching the children’s educational experience. This initiative underscores Kinder Kindling’s commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship.
